Amped Electric Balance Bikes FAQ's
Amped balance bikes have full aluminium frames which makes them robust and reliable. They also have a removable, waterproof lithium battery and the brake/throttle cables are mounted through the bike frame. They have been designed to last and be low maintenance, ensuring your future rider can enjoy their balance bike to the full!
Amped balance bikes have safety at the forefront of their designs. All of the amped bikes have twist throttle with speed settings/controls that make them ideal for younger riders to grow with. The direct rear hub motor and central battery also means the Amped A10, Amped 16, Amped A20 and Amped A20 Pro bikes offers superior traction and balance. One of our favourite safety features is the safety brake cutout switch, which will instantly kill power when the brake lever is pulled.
The Amped A10, Amped A16, Amped A20 and Amped A20 Pro balance bikes all have easily removable lithium batteries. The Amped A10 and Amped A16 models are for younger riders and these batteries are 18v with a charging time of 5-6 hours. The Amped A20 and Amped A20 Pro have 36v batteries. These larger models will charge in roughly 4 hours and run for at least 45 minutes.
